Learning where to find and how to spend your Antique Coins in Resident Evil Requiem can help you gain powerful upgrades for Grace while exploring the care center.
These little collectibles can be found in different places all over the Rhodes Hill Chronic care center and have a very specific use: getting Grace upgrades found at the parlor, a unique quasi-safe area in the building.
In this guide, I'll break down what exactly you can do with Antique Coins and where to find them in Resident Evil Requiem.
How To Use Antique Coins In Resident Evil Requiem
As explained, Antique Coins can be used by Grace to purchase upgrades found in the parlor, a room located in the west wing area of the care center. You'll be able to unlock the room by using a red jewel as you progress through the story.
There are four items available for Grace to purchase inside the parlor. These are:
- Hip Pouch. Cost: 3 Coins. Adds two extra spaces to your inventory
- Stabilizer. Cost: 4 Coins. Improves gun handling and increases firepower
- Steroids. Cost: 4 Coins. Increases max health
- Override Manual. Cost: 6 Coins. Increased the blood collector’s capacity by 50
Antique Coin Locations In Resident Evil Requiem
- In the Safe Area (Guard Office) next to the item box
- On a small table in the Waiting Room (next to the locked door that requires a level 1 wristband)
- You’ll find two more next to the safe inside the Waiting Room
- By killing the singing zombie in the west wing area of the care center
- The safe in that area hides three mode Antique Coins
I'll add more once I find them so stay tuned!
Which Upgrades Should I Buy At The Parlor First In Resident Evil Requiem?
My recommendation is that you get your hands on the Override Manual as soon as possible. This will allow you to carry more blood in your collector, and eventually craft steroids and stabilizers to permanently upgrade Grace's abilities if you happen to find an Empty Injector. Both require over 120+ blood, so the manual is a must.
Alternatively, can't go wrong with the pouch either, especially since it's the cheapest purchase you can make.
It's worth noting that you won't be able to pick up any Antique Coins you find as Leon. Another tip I can give you is that, while you can insert coins to free up inventory space and make progress towards a specific upgrade you want, I recommend you stash them in your item box until you have the exact amount.
Later in the game, once you leave the care center, you'll be able to dismantle any unused coins and turn them into scrap, allowing you to craft more materials.
