Hollow Knight: Silksong has been out for almost a month now, and many players are still exploring to see what secrets lie behind the game’s massive scope. From our almost perfect review to talking about which Hollow Knight: Silksong bosses are the worst, there has been plenty of discourse surrounding this Game of the Year contender.

But now that weeks have passed, let’s speculate about what Silksong’s potential DLC could be, and why I’m looking forward to all of them. Keep in mind that there are major story spoilers for Silksong below.

It Might Have More Lace

Lace.

I’ve been gushing about Lace’s character ever since my previous piece here, even going as far as deluding myself that she might be the series’ next major character after Hornet. If there is a Hollow Knight 3, it has to be Lace, right?

But anyway, a potential Silksong DLC might involve Lace as she comes to terms with herself after the events of Silksong’s Act 3. There might be another rematch coming our way, and it could be a harder version of what we have in the final battle.

Personally, I’m up for anything Team Cherry will make, but I want to see more of Lace, please.

It Could Have an Expanded Endgame like Godhome in the Original

Pilgrim's Rest.

One of the most requested DLCs for Silksong is none other than a Godhome Expansion. For context, this is the true endgame challenge for the original Hollow Knight game, as it takes players into a brutal gauntlet of boss rushes for hours on end. If you think the base game of Silksong is hard, you have not tried the Pantheon challenges.

But should Silksong expand its endgame further, we could see these kinds of challenges in the future. Maybe we would get transported to a dream arena, tackling down some of Silksong’s iconic bosses like The Widow and The First Sinner. I’d love to see it happen, and I’m confident that Team Cherry is already making a far more challenging version of its Pantheon content.

It Will Likely Feature Some of the Best Boss Fights Ever

Big bird.

A Hollow Knight DLC would be nothing without new boss fights. The Grimm Troupe DLC gave us two versions of Nightmare King Grimm, one being easy and the other a total dance to the death. The Godhome DLC even added some revamped versions to some of the original’s best boss fights.

Team Cherry’s future DLCs will definitely add more fantastic boss fights that will test our skill and patience, maybe even adding a brutal runback for some good ol’ Team Cherry trolling.

Honestly, there are so many things we can expect from Silksong’s future DLCs, and now that the game has officially launched, we can start waiting for what Team Cherry is cooking for Hornet’s next adventures.
