Battlefield 6 has left a positive impression on fans thanks to the record-breaking open beta, with many of them even asking for a third one. Despite the positivity, however, the beta wasn’t perfect, and fans do have valid complaints that should be taken into consideration. It seems like EA is aware of this, as the company has announced plenty of changes for the game’s launch.

The folks at EA have confirmed that they will be making a ton of changes to BF6 before it comes out this October. Changes will be made to weapons, movement, and so much more. Certain exploits will also be taken care of, which will annoy some players and please others. All we can do is hope these changes are made for the game’s betterment.

So, without further ado, here are all the major changes coming to Battlefield 6 at launch.

Weapons

EA and Battlefield Studios will make changes across all the weapons before launch. The team mentioned changing how recoil and tap-fire characteristics are going to work. Players will also feel more rewarded for precision, weapon mastery, burst-firing, and tap-firing. Additionally, the M87A1 shotgun now requires more pellets to secure a kill.

Movement

Fans did find movement a mixed bag during the Battlefield 6 open beta, so EA will be making major changes here. Combining running, sliding, and jumping will give players less momentum, so they don’t feel too floaty. Jump spams will also be nerfed, so players won’t be able to overdo that action. Shooting while jumping will also lead to more inaccuracy. Parachute physics have also been re-tuned so players will feel more in control.

Maps

Adjustments are also being made to maps because players in the open beta found exploits that let them gain unfair advantages. The company also promised that more open maps would be available at launch, since the beta had smaller designs. Operation Firestorm from Battlefield 3 will also be fully remade for the game, giving players a fan-favorite map from the get-go.

Modes

The developers at Battlefield 6 acknowledged that Rush is best when it's kept small, so they will be keeping the player count for this mode low. While they didn’t say how small, they did say this mode was best at teams consisting of 12 to 16 players. Portal and Breakthrough were recommended for players who want more kills.

It was also noted that the devs are working on player counts and playlist options, as issues with these are still present. Expect this to be an ongoing battle for Battlefield 6 developers, as the game is expected to be supported for a number of years. EA promised to listen to player feedback, especially after the open beta’s positive reception, so we hope they make this launch a good one.
