ARC Raiders has officially reached its second week, still maintaining the crown for the best multiplayer game this year, beating Battlefield 6 in terms of player count. Being one of the best extraction shooters in a long time, ARC Raiders has a lot to prove when it comes to its live-service content plans.
Embark just announced that its major November update, the North Line, will be released later today.
What is Arc Raiders’ New Map in North Line?
This major update will add the fifth map in the game, Stella Montis. Located north of the Rust Belt, with its snow-capped mountains and claustrophobic tunnels. Stella Montis fell into the hands of the invading Arcs. Now, the Raiders are finally taking back control of this strategic location.
To unlock the new map, players will have to do a multi-phase community event called “Breaking New Ground.” Raiders would need to donate basic materials like Fabric, Rubber, Plastic, and Metal Parts to restore the broken entryway to Stella Montis. Once everyone has lend their hand, the doors to Stella Montis will open.
What Are the New Arc Enemies in the North Line Update?
One of the biggest additions in the North Line update, apart from the new map, are two Arc enemies that players would need to prepare: The Matriarch and the Shredder.
The Matriarch, according to Embark, will make 'the Queen look friendly' They can only be found during specific map events in Stellar Montis, and they are a formidable foe that can pack a punch for the unprepared. Raiders will need to kit up their loadouts with Wolfpacks, Hullcrackers, and plenty of ammo to take it down.
The Shredder is a complete mystery as of yet, but some speculate that this will be a new indoor-type Arc like the Pop and Fireball. The Shredder resembles a human-like appearance with four arms, likely armed with sharp blades. Once it gets near Raiders, it will turn them into mincemeat.
What Are the New Weapons in ARC Raiders’ North Line Update?
ARC Raiders’ North Line update will introduce four new tools: an Energy Burst Battle Rifle, Impulse Mine, Timed Mine, Gas Jump Mine.
The Energy Burst Battle Rifle will likely be the new reward from destroying the Matriarch. This new weapon will make hunting Arcs a tad bit easier, similar to the Equalizer and Jupiter, which use the same energy rounds.
ARC Raiders North Line Release Schedule
ARC Raiders’ North Line update is coming this Thursday, November 13. It will go live this 1:30am PT (4.30am ET / 9.30am GMT / 10.30am CET), but players will not have access to the new map yet as they have to work for it through the community event.
