The Arcs in ARC Raiders are what make the game an absolute blast to play. Mixing PvE and PvP creates dynamic encounters that feel straight out of a movie. Whether it’s a disastrous encounter with the Rocketeer or a hilarious slip and fall from a high point, ARC Raiders’ Topside is home to many threats.
Let's rank the scariest Arcs in the game based on fear.
ARC Raiders Arcs Ranked From Least to Most Scary
Ticks

Ticks are ARC Raiders’ spider-like bots. They barely pose a threat, but they often sneak up on you when you’re looting inside buildings, draining your shield if you’re not careful. With just one or two shots from your gun, you can blow them up without a problem.
Ticks become a problem when you’re surrounded by aggressive Raiders, so always be mindful when entering buildings and watch out for their signature chitter-chatter.
Fireball

These rolling balls are not a big deal if you’re careful, but when they spray fire at you, that’s when you should be concerned.
It’s also worth noting that destroying a Fireball creates an AoE of flames around it, so make sure to disperse before it melts away your skin.
ARC Surveyor

The ARC Surveyor is by far the most annoying Arc in the game. They’re essentially the ‘loot goblins’ of the game. They’re elusive to the point where not many bother hunting them. Once it goes on full alert, it rolls away, going to god knows where.
It’s best dealt with when you’re with a competent team and shoot it with everything you’ve got.
Spotter

Spotters are a mild threat since they’re pretty slow. They hover in the air looking for prime targets for their big boss, the Bombardier. It’s always recommended to just get away from its line of sight or shoot them before they lock on to you.
Once you’ve been tagged, however, it’s time to run away to the nearest shelter; otherwise, you’ll suffer a barrage of missiles raining down on your vicinity.
Mildly Scary Arcs
Wasps

The common Wasps is not a big issue when it’s alone, but it almost always calls backup when it spots you. That’s when it becomes a problem. Wasps are usually paired up with their big brother, the Hornets, and together, these flying clankers will drain your health with their stun and bullet combo.
Thankfully, taking them down is no big deal due to their low health.
Hornets

If Wasps are like little flies buzzing in your ear, Hornets are... well, the hornets to your situation. They are slightly bigger than the average Arc, and they can shoot a shield-draining sting at you, stunning you for a few seconds and making you vulnerable to follow-up Wasp attacks.
Turrets

These Turrets are stationary machines that are tucked away inside buildings. You can tell when there’s a Turret around by its signature blue light. When they spot you, they can shoot a barrage of bullets in your direction, draining your health and shields before you can even react.
Sentinel

Similar to the Turrets, Sentinels are another stationary Arc that’s placed around vantage points, like the top of a building or under a bridge. Instead of machine guns as bullets, Sentinels shoot you with a single rifle shot, instantly dropping your health to almost zero.
Snitch

The Snitches, like the Spotters, are small flying Arcs you have to be careful around with. Once they spot you, they will ‘snitch’ and call Arc reinforcements at your location. Make sure to take it down before they can call their clanker buddies.
Terrifying Arcs (Avoid At All Costs!)
Pop

One of the major reasons for most of my failed extractions. These exploding Arcs are a bane among the community. Imagine casually looting supplies inside a building, only for a Pop to roll in your direction and explode, instantly destroying your shield and putting you at critical health.
Dealing with these rollers the moment you spot them saves you from many failed extractions.
Bombardier

The Bombardier is only a problem when you’ve been spotted by the Spotter. But even when engaging it at close range, it can still throw missiles in your direction, ragdolling you to god knows where. It’s also pretty tanky, so make sure you’ve got weapons capable of armor-piercing to destroy it.
Leaper

Now hear me out, the Leaper is only dangerous when you aggro it. It poses no threat when it’s just chilling around and patrolling the area. Whenever you engage with this machine, make sure you have a safe place to run to when it yeets itself toward you. One splat from this machine can put you or your team at a major risk.
The Queen

Like the Leaper, you’re not really getting a lot of trouble unless you ask for it. The Queen is always around its Harvester, a loot-filled cocoon packed with legendary blueprints and Arc materials.
The Queen doesn’t aggro you until you shoot it or unless you’re in its line of sight. Just run away if you have no plans of destroying it.
Bastion

One of the reasons why the Bastion is terrifying is that you will immediately die when it fires its gattling gun at you. Pair it with its ominous sound design, and you’re alerting the entire lobby with your presence. If you want to be stealthy, get as far from the Bastion as possible.
Rocketeer

The most terrifying Arc of the bunch. The Rocketeer is the biggest threat to a Raider’s life across Topside. It can shoot exploding missiles in your direction, instantly sapping your shields and health with each hit. If you have no cover or no safe points to run away to, then you’re almost always dead.
Try to stay away from this clanker as much as possible, unless you have plans to take it out with your team.
And that’s about it. ARC Raiders’ Arcs are dangerous in their own ways, and their presence has added a sprinkle of unpredictability to the game. What’s even better (or worse, depending on how you see it) is that there will be more Arc machines coming in future updates. According to Embark’s roadmap, we should expect two Arcs in the future: the Matriarch and the Shredder. No one knows what they are, but we’re already terrified.
