Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1: First Cinematic Trailer Revealed, Rebirth Island Confirmed

The first look at Season One is here

The first season of post-launch content for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is just around the corner.

Despite developer Treyarch announcing a slight delay to the start of the season, the hype has reached fever pitch levels.

Season One for Black Ops Cold War and free-to-play battle royale Warzone is expected to be the largest drop of free content that has ever been seen in the Call of Duty franchise.

With brand-new maps, game modes, weapons, and all-new Warzone experience expected, the very first cinematic trailer for the new season has gone live!

Here’s what the trailer includes.

Season 1 Cinematic Trailer

The two-minute trailer adds further content to the story of new Operator known as Stitch, revealing that he was the leader of the Soviet’s Nova 6 programme.

After Adler managed to break into Rebirth Island, Stitch headed to the CIA Safehouse in a bid to settle the score and set a trap.

With Adler looking to deal with Stitch, he and his team head to a New Jersey mall where they are greeted by several barrels of Nova 6 gas and Stitch, who is intent on exacting his revenge on the person that removed his eye.

New Content

The trailer offers a closer look at Mall, one of the four multiplayer maps that will arrive as part of Season One on December 16th.

It also confirms the presence of Rebirth Island. The former Soviet facility has been rumoured to play host to a “classified” Warzone experience since the initial road-map for Season One was revealed.

Towards the end of the trailer, there are brief glimpses of the two brand-new weapons being added to the weapon arsenal. Adler is holding the compact Groza assault rifle while Stitch emerges from the elevator armed with a fully-automatic Striker shotgun.
