- ARC Raiders players are frustrated with fixed map event schedules, especially high-reward events like The Hidden Bunker, which are often missed by players with full-time jobs. The community is urging Embark to randomize events and reconsider the current system.
ARC Raiders needs to seriously rework its event system, as players are starting to get frustrated with having to wait for the right schedule to play its select number of map events.
One player from the ARC Raiders subreddit airs out his frustration. As a working man with a full-time job, he had to delay his sleepy time until 3:00 AM EST so he could get to the Hidden Bunker, one of the game’s map events that adds a stash of vital loot packed to the brim with rare items and blueprints. The problem here is that whenever he makes it in, he can barely find any meaningful rewards, as most players already have their fill.
For context, ARC Raiders features specific map events that offer a unique element to its five existing maps. These can go from calm, routine raids to an electromagnetic storm that strikes unsuspecting Raiders with random lightning, incapacitating them and setting them up for an easy knockout. One of the game’s recent updates, Cold Snap, was also part of the event schedule, blanketing select maps with snow, causing frostbite to Raiders who refuse to stay indoors.

While these map events are interesting variations to avoid the monotony of regular raids, the problem is that they are always fixed at specific hours of the day and last an hour each.
Minor events like Husk Graveyards, where maps are filled with dead Husk Arcs ready for the taking, are pretty common events. Others like Night Raids, which double rewards gathered but also increase Arc activity, are well within their scheduled time. The same goes for Harvester and Matriarch events as well.
The Hidden Bunker, however, is where the magic happens. Every Raider in Speranza knows that this is the perfect time to go on raids, as it’s filled with the rarest treasures. It’s considered the hardest non-boss map modified in ARC Raiders, as Players would have to unlock four antenna rooftops scattered across the map. Once they’re all activated, the elusive bunker’s location is finally revealed. From there, players would have to download and retrieve data from a terminal inside the bunker and take the grand prize.

Apart from being the only map event that requires multiple steps, this is also where all the chaos and bloodshed happen. Packing every player in the lobby into one room like a can of sardines. It only takes one crazy Raider to fire a single shot, and all hell breaks loose. If you’re lucky enough to find chill players, then savor it.
But how is it related to the Reddit complaint? As the game becomes more successful with more players joining in, they have demanded that Embark rework its event schedule system by randomizing it daily. This would eliminate the need for players with 9-to-5 jobs to wait patiently, only to be disappointed when every treasure has already been taken by the time they log in.
It remains unclear whether Embark plans to rework event schedules as part of the upcoming 2026 roadmap, but based on insights gathered over the past few weeks from Virgil Watkins’ interviews, there is reason to hope the team will listen to its community and reconsider adding the randomizers fans have been requesting for a long time.
In the meantime, we’re going to have to keep waiting until The Hidden Bunkers door opens.
