How to Save the Game in New Pokémon Snap

To save your game in the New Pokémon Snap, all you need to do is complete a level or edit your Photodex library and album. The game has a constant autosave feature that it’s pretty generous with, just about every major action will provoke an instant autosave that allows you to safely close the game. There’s no way to load previous saves beyond just starting a new game, but considering there’s no real way to damage your progress in the game or suffer any serious setback, you wouldn’t need to reload an old save.

How to Save Photos to Your Album

Once you’ve completed a level, you’ll get the chance to save any of the photos you’ve taken to your permanent Album. Once Professor Mirror has evaluated the photos you submitted, do the following:

  • Select “Save Photos to Album”
  • Go through the photos provided.
  • Once you see one you like and want to keep, select it.
  • There’ll be a “save” option at the bottom beneath the photo. Select it.
  • Save as many as you want this way. When you have all the ones you want to keep, press + on the right JoyCon to save them all to your album.

By doing this you’ll be able to save dozens of photos to your Album, accessible through the “Your Space” section of the Lab in the main menu. Head there to see them, edit them, and even upload them.
