Elden Ring hard caps for all stats and attributes

In Elden Ring, you can distribute your points between eight different attributes: Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane. It will help you get an advantage over all the bosses in the game.

Every single attribute can be levelled up to a maximum of 99. This is the hard cap of the skill, but there are various soft caps before you reach 99 in a specific stat.

Every attribute has two soft caps. The first one means that you will get a smaller bonus to the statistic, and the second one means you will get a hugely decreased bonus to that attribute at levels after that.

For example, you will gain around 30-40 HP for every point in Vigor, until you reach level 40. At Vigor level 40, you will start getting decreased HP, at about 20 HP per level. Then at level 60, you will get much less at about five HP per level into Vigor.

It means that optimally, you want to reach the first soft cap in the attribute, and if you have spare points or you want to focus on that attribute, you can go for the second soft cap. Often there is no point in maxing out a skill to level 99, unless you are at max level of 713.

Mind will grant you bonuses to FP or mana. Here the soft cap for this skill is 55 and the second one is 60. If you are not using many spells, 20 points is enough, but if you are a spell caster then you can freely invest until you reach level 60. That's when the big stat drop-off occurs.

Endurance influences your stamina and your maximum equip load. It is an important statistic because ideally, you want to be around medium weight. The first soft cap for endurance is around 30, and the second one is at 50.

Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane influence your damage with various weapon types. You will also need some points in each stat to use specific items. Some weapons scale with Intelligence, and others with Strength.

Strength is overall strong attacks from hammers, for example. Dexterity is for fast-hitting katanas or swords and Intelligence is responsible for magic attacks. Faith works on seals, and Arcane is responsible for effects like bleeding.
