Vampire Survivors creators, Poncle, are back for another round of never-ending pixel chaos with their brand new spin-off, Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard.

Vampire Crawlers is a turn-based deckbuilder that continues the same addictive delights of Poncle’s Vampire Survivors. Fans of Mega Crit’s Slay the Spire will find this an interesting alternative, plus it’s way more chaotic.

The game was recently unveiled during the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase for November 2025. The trailer began with a snippet of Survivors’ signature over-the-shoulder camera angle, then instantly shifted to a first-person perspective.

More chaos.

Dubbed as a “snowball deck-builder” by Poncle, Vampire Crawlers’ gameplay is pretty simple. Players must crawl through multi-layered dungeons, gather treasures, and use a variety of card combos that can ruin your bitrate. Cards are played in ascending mana order, with stacks multiplying into 10, 20, or 30 hit combos. Poncle added that anyone can go infinite, as long as their PC can handle it.

Despite the game’s unhinged amount of colors and numbers, Vampire Crawlers is a deck builder at its core. You can opt to go slower or tactical, but we all know Vampire Survivors fans aren’t known for that kind of gameplay. Players can level up their cards as they find new chests and power-ups along the way. They can even summon familiar survivors to trigger additional visual effects on-screen.

More numbers.

“I have accumulated more than 3000 hours of playtime on Vampire Survivors over the years, and I’m still counting,” said Poncle director Luca Galante. “Vampire Crawlers isn’t even released and is already on the same trajectory for me!”

Three years since its release, Vampire Survivors remains an iconic game, putting the London-based developers on the map. Its massive success earned their studio numerous accolades, including a BAFTA Award for innovation. Vampire Survivors has had multiple DLCs since its release, including a fitting crossover with Konami’s beloved Castlevania series.

Vampire Crawlers will be Poncle’s first venture into spin-off territory, bringing their signature ‘casino-like’ gameplay loop to more players.

Vampire Crawlers is set to release sometime in 2026 on Steam, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass Premium and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at launch.
