As promised earlier in the week, Treyarch released a short Dev Video talking about Black Ops 7 Zombies. The video touches on many subjects, from revealing new details to detailing the learnings and changes from the beta.
Curse mode is one of them, and the developers revealed that once someone in the world completes the main quest for the Shadows of the Damned, the game's first Zombies map, the mode will become available for everyone.
As pointed out by some users on social media, this mimics what Bungie does with Destiny 2 raid races, where the standard raid mode gets unlocked after a team completes the raid through the contest mode.
For those who are unaware, Cursed is a new mode that imitates how matches were in old Call of Duty titles, integrating the old points system and removing elements from newer games, such as exfil, etc.
One question addressed on the video was about the super easter egg, which is something players have been requesting and hoping to see in Black Ops 6. The developers dropped some good news, indicating that they are considering it.
"A super easter egg is something we care a lot about... and we want to do it right, so it's something we're looking into for Black Ops 7... It makes a lot of sense, if we're gonna do one, to have it at the end of this year (Black Ops 7 post-launch year)."
Here is the complete Dev Video in case you haven't seen it:
Black Ops 7 is scheduled to come out on Friday, November 14th, for current-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), last-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One), and PC through Steam, Battle.net, and the Xbox Store.
