Want the best Destiny: Rising Estela guide? Then you’ve come to the right place. I’ll break down everything you need to create a great Estella build, including her best Relic Abilities to prioritize, what Artifacts you should use, and her best weapons.
NetEase just dropped a new banner with the start of Season of Daybreak, which includes Estela, a Solar offensive Mythic (five-star) character that uses Pulse Rifles as her main weapon, with Machine Guns in the heavy slot.
Getting your hands on her won’t be easy, but she’s definitely one to add to your roster if you want another Solar offensive character beyond Wolf, especially because she uses a more versatile toolkit. In any case, let’s begin.
Best Estela Build In Destiny: Rising
In general, I believe focusing on Estela’s Misfortune’s Guide ability and Artifacts that focus on her summon abilities. As for weapons, the Furies III exotic weapon should be your go-to.
Here is a quick overview before I go into a full breakdown:
- Damage type: Solar
- Role: Offense
- Primary weapon: Pulse Rifle
- Heavy weapon: Machine Gun
- Best Relic Ability: Misfortune’s Guide
- Artifacts: Summon type
Estela's Abilities, Traits, and Weapon Mastery
These are Estela’s abilities, traits, and weapon mastery bonuses:
Abilities
- Misfortune’s Guide: Unleashes contaminated energy, dealing damage to hit combatants and inflicting them with Misfortune.
- Bewitched Illusion: Estela summons a Bewitched Illusion to join the battlefield and fight combatants on its own. The more Corruption she has accumulated, the higher the level of the summoned Bewitched Illusion will be. Higher-level Bewitched Illusions deal greater damage.
- Super: Violent Reverie - Summons a powerful Violent Reverie to continuously attack combatants by firing a contaminating beam.
- Passive: Corruption - Attacking combatants with weapons accumulates Corruption, up to 10 times per second. Casting Bewitched Illusions consumes Corruption. This ability cannot be cast without sufficient energy.
For me, I recommend prioritizing Misfortune’s Guide. The Misfortune debuff makes targets afflicted be prioritized by Estela’s illusions, as well as granting a 35% damage increase to them. Plus, once you inflict Misfortune, you’ll immediately gain 7 Corruption.
Traits
- Relic trait 1: Calamitious Pandemic (800PL) - Combatants affected by Estela’s own Misfortune spread it to the nearest combatant within a 10-meter radius when they are defeated, dealing 1567 Solar damage. However, Misfortune’s duration is reduced by 2 seconds with each spread, until it reaches the minimum of 4 seconds. A single instance can spread up to 5 times.
- Relic trait 2: Dream Aid (800PL) - While Violent Reverie is present, all combatants’ Misfortune countdowns will be paused, and Corruption will be accumulated with 80% more efficiency.
- Relic trait 3: Focused Fire (800PL) - When Misfortune’s Guide is cast, Bewitched Illusions’ Blink will fire 3 Breaths of Temptation at the target simultaneously.
Weapon Mastery: Distorted Desires
- Level 1 (800PL): Attacking a combatant affected by Misfortune with a weapon 11 times triggers an Accident, dealing 689 Solar damage to the combatant and granting 5 additional Corruption. If a combatant is defeated with Misfortune, Estela gains additional Corruption equal to 7 times the number of Accidents that have affected the target.
- Level 2 (1400PL): Accidents deal an additional 30% damage.
- Level 3 (2000PL): Accidents deal an additional 60% damage.
- Level 4 (2800PL): Every time an Accident is triggered, the number of attacks required to trigger the next Accident on that combatant is reduced by 1, for a minimum of 7 attacks.
- Level 5 (3600PL): Accidents deal an additional 100% damage.
Best Estela Artifacts
For her Artifacts, going for a Summon set is your best bet; however, a few other Artifacts, like Abilities, are always a solid choice.
- Slot 1: Nourishing Pact
- Slot 2: Sophoning Pact
- Slot 3: Bellicose Pact
- Slot 4: Responsive Pact
Some other interesting choices are:
- Slot 1: Healing Radiation
- Slot 2: Binging Planetesimal
- Slot 3: Courageous Planetesimal
- Slot 4: Bellicose Planetesimal
Best Estela Weapons
As a Pulse Rifle user, Estela has access to the current battle pass exotic: Furies III. This is her best weapon.
You can only equip one exotic in your build, so Furies should be the one you’re looking for, considering it’s easy to get (you can even get it in the free track of the battle pass) and is a far better tool than the exotic Machine Guns at her disposal.
Furies III Pulse Rifle
- Intrinsic Trait: Neural Currents: When firing repeatedly, this gun’s firing rate can gradually increase to 540.
- War Machine Learning Perk: Consecutive strikes will surround the target with criticality points. Hit these points to deal higher damage.
Other weapons I recommend:
- DEL2 Sweet Ears Pulse Rifle
- Ultimatum Pulse Rifle
- Scorched Earth Machine Gun
- Gallows Exotic Machine Gun
