As a way to let players know a game is fresh from a Sony in-house dev team, Sony has announced a new PlayStation Studios brand that it’ll be using for its first-party exclusives
The branding is streamlined and focuses more on the PlayStation brand, and the changes will be rolled out alongside the PS5 release, which, thanks to a recent leak, we know is set for October 2020.
This new branding will be a great way to indicate to fans which studios Sony owns, for example, Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us), Insomniac Games (Spider-Man), Santa Monica Studio (God of War), Media Molecule, or Sucker Punch (inFamous, Ghost of Tsushima).
And as you can see Sony has effectively differentiated its studio branding from Xbox's.
