PEAK is one of the best cooperative games that I’ve played with my friends, probably alongside Lethal Company. To be fair, I thought that the concept was so simple that we’d get bored after playing a couple of times. However, there’s so much more to the game, and interesting updates like the latest cannibalism patch make the game enjoyable.
Before the recent updates to the game, there were already so many ways to troll your friends. This includes shooting them with the blowgun that will make them fall asleep or throwing the frisbee at them, which makes them fall. This can ultimately lead to their demise if they’re trying to climb. And with the latest update, players who become hungry will be able to eat their own friends.
The team behind PEAK seems to take feedback and suggestions of their player base seriously. They added cannibalism in the latest update, which makes players who become hungry (around 70% hunger) see their friends as big roasted chickens. Since you're starting to be delusional due to the hunger, it kind of has a holographic effect where you'll see your friends' original characters and as yummy chickens. When you hover or look over their characters, there will be an interact button and a prompt that pops up. Press E to Eat.
It's not just a wacky update to troll your friends, though, it can actually help you and your friends clutch your run. This is especially useful when doing higher levels (Ascent 1+). During our Ascent 3 run, I barely had any stamina left and had no items to help me climb. My friend was able to eat my character and actually reach the top.
You can even use the scout effigy to order yourself some yummy roasted chicken friend, for express food delivery.
