Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 is here, bringing along the game’s latest Vanguard, Rogue.

One of the X-Men’s leading heroes, Rogue is Marvel Rivals’ most complex hero design thanks to her ability to absorb powers from other characters. But how does it work exactly? In this guide, here’s everything you need to know about Rogue’s abilities.

Rogue's abilities from Flats' stream.

Rogue’s is a Vanguard brawler, which means she is always at the frontlines harassing Strategists and Duelists who can’t put up a fight. She plays like The Thing, but her kit is mostly based on a fighting game system with somersaults, dive kicks, and a flurry of punches.

Her signature Absorption ability works as you expect. She can copy an enemy team’s signature ability as long as she comes in contact with them. Select heroes have ability icons hovering above their heads, indicating what type of ability Rogue can copy. If there’s no icon, she can only absorb their passive stats based on their roles. If Rogue copies a Duelist, she gains a boost in damage. Absorbing Vanguards also gives her a major health boost, making her tankier than ever.
