Hades 2 Zeus Breakdown: All Boons, Best Weapons, & More

Zeus in hades 2 breakdown

Zeus in hades 2 breakdown

Want a complete guide to help you make the most of your Hades 2 Zeus builds? Then you’ve come to the right place.

Supergiant Games just dropped the 1.0 version of Hades 2, which is now available on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) and Nintendo Switch 2. Regardless of platform, cross-save is available, making it a godsend in case you were playing during early access and decided to switch, too (I had to do it).

Zeus retains some of his boons from the first game, but his new gimmick in the sequel is the Blitz effect. In this guide, I’ll break down all Zeus boons (regular, duos, legendary, and infusion boons), the best weapon synergies, and the boons you should always look out for.

All Zeus Boons In Hades 2

Zeus has a total of 13 regular boons, 8 duo boons, 1 infusion boon, and 1 legendary boon. Here is the full list.

Best Weapons For Zeus In Hades 2

Zeus thrives with high APM (actions per minute) weapons, so using the Sister Blades and The Umbral Flames are my go-tos. Zeus’ main buff is Blitz, which does the following:

  • Afflicted foes are struck by lightning after they take 120 damage or after 4 seconds.

Sister Blades

For the Sister Blades, my recommended setup is the following:

Supergiant Games
  • Aspect: Melinoe or Artemis
  • Hammer upgrades: Sweeping Ambush, Rapid Onslaught, Skulking Onslaught (Melinoe), Wicked Onslaught
  • Zeus boons: Heaven Strike, Arc Flash, Static Shock, Electric Overload, Power Surge

Whether you’re using Melinoe or Artemis aspects, the blades are definitely the best way of taking advantage of Zeus’ strength, which is consistently triggering the Blitz curse on enemies.

You’ll be consistently using your Omega attack to either take advantage of the backstab (Melinoe) or to parry and trigger Riposte (Artemis), so having Arc Flash and Power Surge is a no-brainer. A good way to tack on extra damage is Static Shock, but this will cost you a whopping 50 Primed Magick, so getting a boon that refills your Magick is a must (my go-to is Hestia’s Cardio Gain, but Zeus’ own does an okay job).

A few other support boons you should consider are Double Strike and Air Quality. Zeus’ infusion sounds stronger than it actually is, but if you go for things such as Hestia Scorch or Demeter’s Gust, then you’ll get the best usage of Air Quality, and it will give those two curses a major damage bump.

As for hammer upgrades, can’t go wrong with any of the ones I mentioned, just keep in mind Skulking Onslaught is much more situational than the rest, as it only buffs backstab damage, and Sweeping Ambush will make you spend an extra 20 Magick per Omega attack.

The Umbral Flames

  • Aspect: Moros and Supay
  • Hammer upgrades: Hidden Helix (Moros), Clean Coil (Moros), Melting Helix (Moros), Enduring Coil (Moros), Rising Helix (Moros), Dividing Blaze (Moros), Leaden Blaze ( Demonic Cell (Supay)
  • Zeus boons: Heaven Strike, Thunder Rush, Power Surge, Arc Flash, Air Quality

I debated between Moros and Eos, but ultimately, I believe the latter benefits more from other gods. With the Aspect of Moros, you’ll be chugging attacks left and right, which will then explode with your specials. You can go for Heaven Flourish over Strike, but I much prefer having my attack be the one progging Blitz.

Again, since this build requires constant Magick (you’ll use your Omega attack and special constantly), Power Surge and Arc Flash are a must, with a decent Magick replinishing boon (please go for Hestia’s Cardio Gain) to keep you topped up.

Moros has a plethora of good hammers to choose from; some are very utility-based, like Clean Coil (faster Omega special charge and uses 10 less Magick), but others can really ramp up the damage, particularly the two Blaze ones, as they buff raw power (+10 added to base power) or in the case of Leaden Blaze, break your attacks into two which will let you trigger more explosions.

As for Supay, it’s all about empowering your rush (sprint) with Air Quality. That’s it. Gather as many Air boons as you can and pray the RNG gods for Air Quality to drop.

And that’s it! We have plenty more Hades 2 content, so stick with us at Gfinityesports.com.
