There are only a few, but, like the title, they are very important to the point we'd call them must-dos. It includes completing the main story, hording necessary items, and powering up your Pokemon. These tips will make sure that you don't enter the Lumiose Hyper Space with an overwhelming feeling or lacking critical items.
Follow this to-do list prior to diving into the DLC, and we'll guarantee that your Mega Dimension journey will be smooth and, of course, memorable.
Beat The Main Story
One of the main requirements for playing the Mega Dimension DLC is to finish the main game first, which is easy to understand, as we have seen in the DLC trailers that Pokemon in the Hyper Space Lumiose are very powerful, some even reaching beyond Level 100.
So if you want to start exploring the DLC on release day, be sure to finish the main Pokemon Legends Z-A story, if you haven't already, and you might want to start cramming, as Pokemon Legends Z-A can be quite a long game if you try to accomplish everything.
Level Up Your Favorite Pokemon to 100 & Bring Your Strongest
As stated above and shown in most Pokemon Legends Z-A DLC trailers, Pokemon in the Hyper Space Lumiose can reach levels over Level 100. For players to be able to stand a chance, Ansha and Hoopa will bake donuts for you in exchange for berries. These donuts will temporarily give an additional level boost to your Pokemon.
So if you want to not be obliterated by the ultra-powerful wild Pokemon in the DLC, make sure your Pokemon are all Level 100 so that they can maximize the level boost from the round sweets. Also, just recently, trainers were given very powerful Pokemon for free, like Diancie and Mewtwo, both of which come with Mega Stones in the form of Mystery Gift. So utilize these strong 'mons and let them lend their power to you.
Stock Up On Berries, The Main Ingredient For Hoopa's Donuts
Speaking of berries, we have also seen in trailers that the main ingredient that Ansha and Hoopa need to create level-boosting donuts is Pokemon berries. The kind of berry you give to Ansha and Hoopa will determine how long you can stay in the Hyper Space and how much the level will be boosted for your Pokemon.
In the main Legends Z-A map, you'll be able to collect these berries just by picking them up all over Lumiose or by buying them from Berry vendors that can be found in almost every park or alley. A berry a day keeps the defeat screen away.
Prepare Your Pikachus
Yes, we said Pikachus with as "s.". The initial Mega Dimension showed us the very first DLC-exclusive Mega Evolution forms, and they are two distinct Raichu Mega Evolution looks! It was exciting and electrifying, especially to see that we can have both. If you're planning to bring one of these Mega Raichu forms in your team, it might be a good idea to catch a Pikachu as early as now.
Not only catching one, but it might also be best to start maximizing its stats, looking for an Alpha one, or to some, a shiny one, even! Either way, a strong Mega Raichu, either the X Forme or the Y Forme, is necessary to fully enjoy it.
Start Hording Your Balls!
Another thing to be excited about in the DLC is the new Pokemon, some even coming from Paldea. And of course, you would want to not only battle these new arrivals but to catch them too. That Baxcalibur Mega Evolution looks extra awesome and will definitely be a part of my team!
So to prepare for these potential new favorites, start buying your catching tools. We recommend buying Quick Balls as they are a fast way to catch everything in sight, and if they fail, Ultra Balls should be an effective alternative.
The trailers showed the Hyper Space as visually, conceptually, and contextually intimidating, but by following the preparation tips we have mentioned above, you should be just fine.
