While not all details of how The Island progression will work, 2K also revealed some of the new modes available, including The Scrapyard, which offers interactive environmental elements such as launch pads, shopping carts, and even steel beams, all in a small sandbox with increased verticality. The Scrapyard will also be available via exhibitions, making it easier to jump into if you have some friends over.

Speaking of having friends over, The Island will introduce a new co-op mode, MyTAG, which will allow you to play alongside a friend in PvP environments that include seasonal ranked play, and chaotic match types like Triple Threat, Fatal 4-Way, and 2v2 PvP.

On top of that, one of the main ways to earn progression within your selected order is by tackling Towers. These are, as the name suggests, is like a gauntlet that will reward you the more matches you manage to win.
