One of the most wealthy competitive players of all time will be looking to pick up another trophy at the World Cup.

We recently looked at Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson, now we turn our attention to Noah “Vivid” Wright has become synonymous with competitive Fortnite since his upbringing into the esport. The New Jersey native has risen into one of the most popular Fortnite players and is unanimously loved by everyone in the community.

From his silly outtakes with the other Team Liquid members to be at the pinnacle of the Fortnite world, Vivid has experienced it all in his career. The 20-year-old enters the Fortnite World Cup Finals as one of the most veteran players with a total prize purse of $315,375, some view him as one of the weaker players entering the event but no one should ever put doubt into Vivid.

World Cup Qualifier

Vivid entered the solo portion of the Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers with high expectations, as a player who has warranted the reputation as a clutch player who performs best when the pressure is on him, he was for sure in his natural habitat.

He qualified for the Fortnite World Cup Finals in week one of the event, mustering a late push into qualification territory sealed the deal for the Team Liquid star. Vivid was also quite emotional in an interview with the official Fortnite stream moments after his qualification. During week one, Vivid opted to land at Junk Junction which is nestled at the North-Western point of the map and has become the home of other notable professional players due to its high chest count and materials. Also, the location has ample amounts of mobility as located to the East of Junk Junction is numerous quad and drift board spawns.

Vivid was able to become one of the first fan favorites to qualify for the World Cup Finals and will no doubt have one of the biggest followings going into New York City.

Vivid is one of the most experienced and original professional players still competing at the top of the scene, and with that, he has had to adjust his playstyle multiple times throughout Fortnite’s legacy like many others have had too. As being the veteran, Vivid also warrants the reputation as one of the smartest players in the game right now.

Vivid rarely challenges a player in the early game for a 50-50 right off the drop, instead, he prefers to play into his natural skills which are endgames. It makes sense for Vivid as he is one of the sharpest aimers in the game along with being one of the most mechanically gifted players. His outlook is why risk dying off of spawn over a weapon when he can gain the advantage over the player to best suit his skills.

It has also become custom to see Vivid dominate end game situations, especially during moving zones where every player is in a frantic trying to build tunnels, all, while this is going on Vivid, is pincered in analyzing the situation to gain the advantage even more.

Looking Forward

The Fortnite World Cup Finals is slowly approaching now, with expectations and hype building around the event. With this gathering, hype comes the added pressure these young professional players are about to face, but for players like Vivid this is where he can shine.

An experienced veteran of LAN events and Fortnite competitions there will be of course pressure on Vivid but his past experience could lead to an immense performance during the Finals and propel him to a multi-millionaire.

The Fortnite World Cup is without a doubt the biggest esports tournament of the year and throughout the tournament, we will have constant live updates of every match! So make sure to stay tuned to our Twitter for all the winners throughout the event!
