Zelda: Skyward Sword Switch Vs Wii Comparison - Is Skyward Sword HD 60fps?

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD is a game fans have mixed reactions for since it’s an underrated Zelda game that has inspired Breath of the Wild in a couple of ways, and though us fans are gonna get it we’re still disappointed at the lack of care put into it.

Porting games isn’t an easy job, by any means, but you’d think that a game like Skyward Sword HD would have some more quality-of-life features added to it, especially when you consider how it’s the franchise’s 35th anniversary.

Zelda: Skyward Sword Switch Vs Wii Comparison - Is Skyward Sword HD 60fps?

Still, the video comparisons of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD have shown that they’ve enhanced the visuals a bit since this remaster will run at 1080p and 60fps, which is a huge improvement when compared to the original game.

For those unaware, the original Zelda: Skyward Sword only ran at 480p and 30fps, which is understandable since the Wii was only a little stronger than the Gamecube and pretty inferior to the PS3 and 360.

While Nintendo fans would have preferred better button controls for Skyward Sword HD and more quality-of-life improvements that aren’t locked behind an amiibo, there’s no doubt that Switch fans will be picking this up.

Nintendo really should put more effort into their remasters though, especially when you compare something like Skyward Sword HD to remasters like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy but this is the reality we live in and the company knows us Switch owners will buy anything from them.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will be running at 1080p and 60fps when it comes out on Nintendo Switch on July 16.
