What is The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2's Real Name? Nintendo Confirms Why They've Not Revealed It
Confirming there is a proper subtitle for this game, Trinen advised IGN's interviewer:
As for why we’re holding back on the name, you’ll just have to stay tuned because, obviously, Zelda names are kind of important. Those subtitles… they start to give little bits of hints about maybe what’s going to happen
Considering previous entries had names which referred to important items - Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker being key examples - it's not hard to understand why they're keeping this secret. For now, Trinen confirms "We’re still calling it the sequel to Breath of the Wild". An imminent reveal seems unlikely, but we'll keep you informed once we know.
