June 15 Update - E3 2021

Nintendo released a new trailer highlighting the Age of Calamity DLC expansion pass' first wave.

It includes a new weapon for link, the Master Cycle for Zelda, new challenges, a playable Guardian, Apocalyptic difficulty, and new enemies. Check the trailer out below.

Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity had a strong launch back in November. Now reaching 3.7 million copies sold, it's become the best-selling Musou game of all-time, offering an entertaining prequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

While Calamity was already a complete experience, Nintendo confirmed the expansion pass during February's Nintendo Direct, and we've now got further details. That includes a first look at Link's new ancient armour/sword protoypes, which arrive on May 28th.

Nintendo Confirm Details For Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity's Expansion Pass

Elaborating further, the official Japanese Zelda account confirmed names for the two upcoming DLC sets as "Ancient Heartbeat" and "Guardian of Recollection", which arrive by the ends of June and November respectively. With translation credit to @PushDustin, those tweets reads as:

Pack #1. Ancient Heartbeat. New Playable Character(s), New Weapon(s), New Action Style, New Challenge(s), Royal Ancient Tech Lab, And New Strong Enemy (Enemies).

"Pack #2. The Guardian of Recollection. New Story, New Stage(s), New Playable Character(s), Additional Actions For Existing Character(s)."

Because Japanese doesn't use plurals, it's unclear from the wording whether these listed challenges/stages/characters are one or several. Hopefully, an official English translation will soon emerge to clarify these points.
