New Xbox Series Update Lets Players Choose Their Xbox 360 Gamerpic

Microsoft has hit the ground running heading into the next-gen. After announcing the Xbox Series X|S as the fastest-selling consoles in the company's history, Game Pass continues to remain an attractive feature that has been driving players to the platform.

And it seems like the company continues to listen to its fans, with a heavily demanded feature in gamerpics making a return to modern-day Xbox systems. The option will seemingly allow players to restore their old Xbox 360 avatar.

Xbox Series Update Will Add Xbox 360 Gamerpic Option

Lead Xbox Engineer, Eden Marie detailed the news last night with the option being available through the "change gamerpic" section. Instead of the contemporary avatar, thumbnails will now reveal your classic icon.

Xbox Series X users who are part of the Alpha Skip Ahead Insider group can already access the feature, as tweeted by Marie.

The option was worked on by Marie through Xbox's Exploration Time scheme for staff. This is in which, employees at the company can work on any project of their choosing for half a day each week. Microsoft also recently launched an update that adds next-gen features to older controllers.
