Xbox Cloud Gaming Is Reportedly Being Upgraded With Series X Server Blades

Microsoft's game streaming service, Xbox Cloud Gaming (formerly known as xCloud), has just gotten a sizeable upgrade according to reports.

While the process previously relied on Xbox One consoles connected to the cloud to power games played elsewhere in the world, it appears some games have moved over to Xbox Series X 'server blades'.

Xbox Cloud Gaming Is Reportedly Being Upgraded With Series X Server Blades

Kareem Choudhry, head of cloud gaming at Microsoft, said that earlier this month that "We’re now in the final stages of internal testing, and we’ll be upgrading the experience for [Xbox Game Pass] Ultimate members in the next few weeks”.

The Verge's Tom Warren has noted that some sites are already seeing enhanced performance options listed, including titles like Rainbow Six: Siege.
