Headsets have become quite an important accessory for gaming over these past few years, thanks to the rise in online gaming and also so that you can play without having to wake up your loved ones who might be asleep.

How to Test Your Microphone on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S

Thankfully, if you’re on Xbox One or Xbox Series X, there is a way to test your microphone before playing a game online, which will save players a lot of time, especially if it turns out that the headphone is busted.

It’s not too hard to check your microphone and is basically the same for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X so just follow our instructions below for how to do this properly.

Log into Xbox Live on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X, press the Xbox menu button on your controller to open up your options, go to the ‘Party’ menu option, pick ‘Start Party,’ and you’ll be able to see some mic options.

These mic options will let you test out your microphone, letting you mute or unmute your mic while also having a mic test, with a ring that will show you if your voice will be heard by lighting up.

Players can get an Xbox One or Xbox Series X now, though Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass will have to be paid for separately.
