Age of Empires 4 was announced during Microsoft’s E3 presentation for their Xbox games, with many real-time strategy fans excited to play the game on their Xbox system of choice.
The fact that Age of Empires 4 is also coming to Xbox Game Pass when it launches is a good move, ensuring that more people will give it a try when the game launches later this year.
Is Age Of Empires 4 Coming To Xbox One?
While Age of Empires 4 was revealed as a console exclusive, it wasn’t made clear if the game would only be coming to Xbox Series X or if it will still be on Xbox One.
Calling it a ‘Console Exclusive’ did confuse a lot of people, especially since Age of Empires 4 has also been confirmed for PC, but it wasn’t made clear if the game would be Xbox Series X exclusive or not.
It also doesn’t help that Microsoft has been rather confusing with their current Xbox Series X branding, as a good number of their current games have Smart Delivery, making most of them backward-compatible with the new system.
Xbox head Phil Spencer did previously state that we wouldn’t be seeing big Xbox Series X exclusives for a while, with Halo: Infinite still coming to the Xbox One alongside the Xbox Series X later this year.
We wouldn’t be too surprised if Age of Empires 4 did end up coming out on the Xbox One alongside the Xbox Series X but we’ll have to wait and see.
Age of Empires 4 will be coming out on Xbox consoles and PC on October 28.
