WWE 2K20 is hotly anticipated as one of the best games in the franchise to date, as the WWE returns once again to consoles for action. Filled to the brim with new features, a new showcase mode and a diversified My Career experience, WWE 2K20 looks to be the most in-depth edition of video game wrestling to date. With the October 22nd release date looming ever closer, here’s everything you need to know about WWE 2K20.

The Women’s Evolution Showcase

The latest Showcase Mode for 2K20 allows players to follow the ground-breaking journey of the Four Horsewomen – Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley and 2K20 cover star Becky Lynch. Players will be able to relive the entire evolution of women’s wrestling with in-depth vignettes, footage from past matches and lots of objective-based gameplay.

Diverse MyCareer Experience

As mentioned above, MyCareer is more diverse than ever before. You will have the ability to create both male and female MyPlayers and use them in MyCareer and the Towers mode.

The career campaign includes numerous twists and turns typical of a WWE show. Filled with cutscenes and voiceovers from various members of the WWE roster, you’ll get to experience the life of a WWE superstar.

 

Streamlined Controls

The controls for 2K20 will be much more streamlined in order to allow new players to get straight into the action more easily than previous titles. Experienced players will still enjoy a challenge in the ring but the new control scheme will enable even more players to get involved.

HUGE Playable Roster

As of writing (August 27th) there are 66 playable superstars in WWE 2K20. Ranging from current Universal Champion Seth Rollins to wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, there are superstars ranging from several different eras of WWE and NXT history, making it one of the most diverse and complete rosters to date.

WWE 2K20 Originals DLC

2K20 Originals will be the new service model that 2K Games will use to deliver post-launch DLC. Each 2K20 Originals will present a new playable world complete with a unique theme and content. Each “Originals” will contain a brand-new Showcase Episode, new arenas, Superstars, Story Towers and new unlockable character parts for your MyPlayer.

WWE 2K20 Pre-Orders & Bonuses

Standard Edition

The standard edition of 2K20 will give players the “Bump in the Night” 2K20 Originals which features “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. Players will also receive limited edition Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch cards in WWE Supercard.

Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe edition of the game gives players access to the SmackDown 20th Anniversary Digital Content which features Hulk Hogan, Chyna, $500 Shirt The Rock and Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection Mankind. All 2K20 Originals are included too including Bump in the Night along with a 2K20 Accelerator which will allow players to unlock all content at a much faster rate than normal. Players will also receive a Kickstart for their MyPlayer so they can get the early advantage in their career.

SmackDown 20th Anniversary Edition

Last but not least is the SmackDown 20th Anniversary Edition which celebrates 20 years of the blue brand. This particular pre-order contains an exclusive acrylic piece of the Smackdown ring skirt from 2002-2008 and an autograph from one of three SmackDown legends Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio or Edge. A must have for any hardcore WWE fan! Players will get access to all 2K20 Originals DLC and the SmackDown 20th Anniversary content too along with the accelerator and kickstart to boot.
