WoW Shadowlands: Renown Farming Guide - Torghast Edition

With the release of patch 9.1.5 players are now able to freely switch covenants but moving to a new covenant that they have not joined before will require some extra steps for players to get caught up.

This includes building covenant features, completing the new campaign, and farming renown again.

Renown catchup has been improved with patch 9.1.5, and there are multiple methods players can use to farm renown and reach level 80 with their new covenant.

It is important to note that all soulbinds are unlocked once joining a new covenant, and players can purchase instant level 40 renown via the Broker Mark of Distinction from Au'dara in Oribos who is next to the Flightpath on the second level.

WoW Shadowlands: Renown Farming Guide - Torghast Edition

The most efficient method of farming renown is completing Torghast layers 9-12, preferably layer 9 as it can be completed by semi-geared characters at a fast pace.

To ensure you are getting the most out of the runs, complete all the campaigns available to you so you increase the chance of Renown dropping in the first place.

Another benefit to doing Torghast is each consecutive run will award bonus Soul Ash and Cinders, which will help players craft and upgrade new legendaries, especially if they are switching covenants around.

Players who may not be geared enough to farm Torghast effectively can opt into doing Comp Stomp this week only, Sanctum of Domination LFR or higher, or any level of dungeons.

Renown farming is greatly improved in patch 9.1.5, so all returning and re-rolling characters can get back into the action quickly.
