WoW Classic TBC: How To Enter Heroic Dungeons

Heroic dungeons are in a unique state in The Burning Crusade where they will require a key as a type of attunement before the player is able to enter this harder difficulty.

Basically, players will need to earn Revered reputation with the factions associated with that dungeon.

While there may be a lot of dungeons in TBC, don't worry as they mostly share the same faction as others in the area.

We will go over the following dungeons zone by zone and where to obtain each key.

WoW Classic TBC: How To Enter Heroic Dungeons

Hellfire Peninsula

Dungeons:

• Hellfire Ramparts
• The Blood Furnace
• The Shattered Halls

Upon reaching Revered reputation with Honor Hold for alliance players, and Thrallmar for the Horde, players can speak to Logistics Officer Ulrike and Quartermaster Urgonn to purchase the Flamewrought Key.

Zangarmarsh

Dungeons:

• The Slave Pens
• The Underbog
• The Steamvault

Located underwater in the Coilfang Reservoir, these three dungeons require Revered with the Cenarion Expedition, and the Reservoir Key can be purchased from Nakudo who is in Shattrath City.

Terokkar Forest

Dungeons:

• Mana-Tombs
• Auchenai Crypts
• Sethekk Halls
• Shadow Labyrinth

The Warpforged Key can be purchased from Almaador, who is located in Shattrath City upon reaching Revered with The Sha'tar Faction.

Caverns of Time

Dungeons:

• Old Hillsbrad Foothills
• The Black Morass

These two dungeons require revered reputation with the Keepers of Time faction, and the Key of Time can be purchased from Alurmi in the Caverns of Time, located in eastern Tanaris.

Shattered Halls

Shattered Halls is a bit unique and requires players to craft their own key.

Travel to Shadowmoon Valley and kill an NPC called Smith Gorlunk who is located on the left side of the Black Temple. Loot his body and you will receive Primed Key Mold.

Follow this quest back to your faction's hub in Hellfire Peninsula, where you will then show the mold to a few people before they give you a new quest, which asks you to bring a few materials needed to craft the key.

You will need:

• 4 Fel iron bars
• 4 Motes of Fire
• 2 Arcane Dust

Once you hand these items in you will be given the final quest, which will ask you to kill a Fel Reaver. Use the corpse to turn the mold into a Charred Key Mold, and return to your faction hub and hand the quest in, which will reward you with the Shattered Halls Key.
