As players move into the third week of the Season of Mastery in NA, players have begun noticing that they are not receiving the increased number of Ranking points per week, which was a big reason for people to return and take advantage of early.
Blizzard was made aware of the issue via the WoW Forums, and Community Manager Kaivax has said the issue is currently being investigated but there is no more information to go off or a timeframe for its fix.
Likely, players will not be awarded any points they missed out on over the past 2 weeks, and the new ranking improvements will be in place going into next week. Although we can't say for sure and are waiting on more confirmation from Blizzard.
It is also not sure how this will affect EU players as their reset will happen a day later, but likely the fix won't be implemented until after in their region as well.
WoW Classic: Season Of Mastery Ranking Changes Are Currently Not Working After The Second Reset
The changes were meant to increase the rate points were awarded from 20% to 40%, reducing the time required to rank by a substantial margin which was a positive change many players were looking for.
It may still take two months for most players to reach rank 14 but should be achievable by not playing 16 hours a day for three months straight.
Blizzard will likely have a fix for this issue before the next reset and ranking should return to normal starting next week.
Stay tuned for any updates regarding this situation over the coming days.
