World of Warcraft: Charity Pet Program Has Reached Its Goal, Two New Pets Available for Players

Blizzard Entertainment has reached its goal for the yearly World of Warcraft charity pet program.

Today, the $1 million goal was reached and players have unlocked the Daisy the Sloth pet.

This year Doctors Without Borders, or Médecins Sans Frontières as they are known in French, was the charity of choice.

Things ran differently this year. In the past, to own the charity pet, players had to purchase the pet from the in-game store and would receive it straight away.

This year, a goal was set and players were asked to donate any amount directly to Doctors Without Borders.

Upon reaching the initial goal of $500,000 players would receive Bananas, a Pet that was previously only available in the game's first expansion The Burning Crusade, which released back in 2007.

A stretch goal was made for $1 million, and Players would receive a brand new pet Daisy the Sloth who can be seen climbing on the back of the owner.

How do you redeem the pets?

Both pets are available to all players on the shadowlands servers and can be acquired through the battle.net store. Find your way to the pet section under World of Warcraft, and select each pet individually. You will be able to claim the pet for free and they will be added to your in-game collection tab.

As the event has just ended, expect up to a 1-day delay for Daisy the Sloth to be added to the store. We can expect to see her added on the 24th of April, 2021.
