Legion Timewalking Mage Tower Comes To The PTR This Week But Only For 24 Hours

After Blizzard confirmed that the Mage Tower is almost ready for testing on the Public Test Realm last week, they announced today that it will finally go live on Thursday, but only for 24 hours.

As many people thought after the delay in confirming that the Mage Tower would be tested, it would not make it at all to preserve the challenge once it actually goes live when patch 9.1.5 finally launches.

However, Blizzard does share this sentiment, which is why it will only be available for 24 hours, and a chance to be activated again if more testing is required.

The Tower will open on Thursday, October 21st at 10:00 am PDT and end at 10:00 am the following day.

Legion Timewalking Mage Tower Comes To The PTR This Week But Only For 24 Hours

The Mage Tower was a unique challenge originally added with patch 7.2 during Legion and has been praised by the community ever since, which is one of the reasons for Blizzard to bring the feature back.

It will consist of 7 unique and challenging boss encounters that are specific to each of the 36 specializations.

While none of the old rewards are returning, new recolored tier 20 sets will be the main rewards alongside three new achievements which award a unique mount model after completing all 7 challenges.

Patch 9.1.5 is yet to receive a release date, although once the Mage Tower has been tested, there is nothing left for Blizzard to add to the PTR, meaning a release date should follow soon.
