Brewfest is Blizzard's way of celebrating the Oktoberfest holiday celebrated in the real world, which was introduced shortly after the Burning Crusade was released in 2007.

While there was no official announcement from Blizzard, the Dark Iron Dwarfs have been busy setting up the event outside of Ironforge and Orgrimmar, and the event has begun.

Players can partake in fun minigames, earn a unique currency and even form a group to take on Coren Direbrew, a 5-man mini-boss who has a chance to award special trinkets and even two new mounts.

The Brewfest Ram and Brewfest Kodo are the two mounts available but will be a very rare drop chance, and players only have 14 tries for the year to obtain them.

There are six new trinkets that have a chance to drop from Coren Direbrew:

  • Empty Mug of Direbrew
  • Dark Iron Smoking Pipe
  • Sirebrew Hops
  • Brightbrew Charm
  • Coren's Lucky Charm
  • Balebrew Charm

There is also a chance to receive a Dagger and a special toy that teleports the player and their party to the Grim Guzzler.

More Brewfest cosmetic items are available at the Brewfest grounds outside Ironforge and Orgrimmar which can be redeemed by Brewfest Prize Tokens.

When does Brewfest start in the Burning Crusade Classic?

The Burning Crusade Classic Brewfest begins on the 20th of September in each region and will end on the 4th of October.

How to start the Coren Direbrew event?

To start the quest, Travel to Kharanos in Dun Morogh if you are alliance or on the road to Razer hill in Durotar if you are horde, and find an NPC giving the Save Brewfest! Quest.

This quest tasks players to find a spy inside Blackrock Depths, who will then start eh next part of the quest, which has players fight Coren Direbrew.

Players will need to find a group before traveling to Blackrock Depths, and once inside use the teleporter or a pile of books. This will teleport you to the Grim Guzzler where you will find the spy to begin the encounter.
