Burning Crusade Classic: Phase 2 PTR Updates To Patch 2.5.2 Content

Blizzard has introduced a few new changes to the Phase 2 PTR which bring with it a few small changes to the game which again are going against the original philosophy of "no changes", however, these changes are a benefit to all types of players.

To start, Faction PvP gear is now obtainable from Thrallmar, Honor Hold, Cenarion Expedition, The Sha’tar, Lower City, and the Keepers of Time.

These items will require Revered reputation to purchase and will be dropped down to Honored once phase 5 comes out to match the original release cycle of The Burning Crusade.

The biggest change may just be the addition of an extra Tier token dropping from certain raid encounters.

High King Maulgar, Gruul the Dragonkiller, and Magtheridon will now drop 2 tokens once Phase 2 has been released.

Additionally, Leothoras the Blind, Fathom-Lord Karathress, Lady Vashj, Void Reaver, and Kael’thas Sunstrider will also drop 2 Tier 5 tokens.

This will make gearing up the raid much faster and will cause less drama among raiding guilds.

Honor points will not be getting reset upon season 1 ending, and instead will carry over to season 2, with leftover arena points being converted into honor points. 1 arena point will equal 10 honor points.

There will be a two-week off-season break upon the launch of Phase 2 where players will not be able to earn arena points.

There is still no date confirmed for Phase 2, although now most of the content is live on the PTR, we may see a release date announced soon.
