Bolstering, Raging, And Necrotic Are All Receiving Nerfs In Patch 9.1.5

With yesterday's latest update to the patch 9.1.5 PTR, Bolstering, Raging, and Necrotic all received some pretty hefty nerfs.

Live servers just finished a rotation that saw Necrotic played last week, and the community always is up in arms about the week complaining no tank wants to play for the week.

Necrotic was also changed going into the Shadowlands but did not help the player participation issue.

Players are hoping Blizzard continues to change Mythic+ for the better in the new patch, which will hopefully bring higher engagement back to the area of the game.

Bolstering, Raging, And Necrotic Are All Receiving Nerfs In Patch 9.1.5

Necrotic

Necrotic Wound has had its debuff duration reduced from 9 seconds to 6 seconds. While this change is nothing too big, it will help tanks kite and reset their stacks faster.

Raging

While raging is not that big of an issue if you have a soothe in the group, it can still pose a threat on the wrong mob, so Blizzard has nerfed the damage from an extra 70% down to 50%.

Bolstering

Bolstering was one of the worst but still playable affixes, requiring players to play well.

Bolstering now is a temporary buff on the mobs, still increasing health and damage to all surrounding mobs, but only lasting 20 seconds instead of permanent, unless reset.

This change helps players kite and time out the debuff if a pull doesn't go right, instead of needing a full group wipe to reset the fight.

These are a great set of changes, and many were suggested by the player base, meaning we could see some more nerfs before the release of patch 9.1.5.
