Auto Dismount Option Coming To WoW Classic And The Season Of Mastery

Blizzard has shared a blue post today which details a plan to implement an option for players to toggle auto dismount in World of Warcraft Classic and the Season of Mastery and has given a fix for the time being until it is implemented.

In the original version of the game, players would not be dismounted when interacting with an object in the world or casting a spell and would need to re-click the mount keybind or right-click the buff off of the character.

While this setting won't be available for a while, Blizzard has given a way for players to change this themselves.

/script C_CVar.SetCVar(“autoStand”, 0);
/script C_CVar.SetCVar(“autoDismount”, 0);
/script C_CVar.SetCVar(“autoUnshift”, 0);

Auto Dismount Option Coming To WoW Classic And The Season Of Mastery

Simply paste this piece of code into the chat window in World of Warcraft and you will be able to dismount when pressing an ability upon entering combat or interacting with an object, such as a resource in the world or quest item.

If you wish to reset this option, replace the "0" value to 1 and you will no longer auto dismount.

The change was initially implemented in patch 1.14 as a quality of life improvement before the release of the Burning Crusade.

There is no timeframe given for the toggle feature to make it to the live game, however, this script will work exactly the same so players should be encouraged to take advantage of it early, especially once the Season of Mastery goes live on the 16th of November.
