Warframe Wisp Guide - How to Obtain, Craft, and Best Builds

The Eerie Wisp is a curious warframe with mixed capabilities that give her versatility. She can become invisible under the right circumstances, boost herself and others, attack in area and unleash a Solar beam that can obliterate everything in its path. That amalgam of abilities makes her a great addition to your warframe roster, and a great choice for almost any kind of mission.

Wisp Overview and Best Weapon Options

Wisp presents great offensive abilities and also tools that can help you in different situations. If you need to get out of a tricky situation you can use the Will-o-wisp, and the Breach surge will be a great offensive skill, as well as a crowd control tool. Last but not least, Sol Gate will be your choice in case you need to clear a room.

Abilities
Passive

Wisp weaves between dimensions whilst she is airborne, gaining a cloak that renders her and her Companions completely invisible to enemies until she lands or fires a weapon. Wisp's cloak will reactivate briefly after the player stops firing provided they are still airborne. The cloak does not wear off immediately after landing, allowing Wisp to constantly remain invisible.

Reservoirs
Choose and summon a Reservoir filled with Motes that attach to and aid Wisp and her allies. Haste Mote grants increased movement and attack speed, Vitality Mote increases maximum health and heals over time, and Shock Mote stuns nearby enemies.

Breach Surge
Open a dimensional breach to overwhelm nearby enemies and cause them to release aggressive Surge sparks when damaged. Wisp may also target a Reservoir to teleport to it and double the range of the surge.

Recommended Weapons
If Wisp wields her signature Fulmin, the weapon's Alternate Fire mode-switching animation is reduced from 1 seconds to 0.5 seconds, making it the best option for primary weapons. Akstiletto and Orthos will serve their respective roles as secondary and melee, and of course, if you can afford the Prime versions, the better. Use as many Forma on them as you see fit to achieve the desired build, and you'll be good to go!

Mods List
Aura Mod - Energy Siphon
Exilus Mod - Power Drift
Loadout

  • Augur Secrets
  • Augur Reach
  • Augur Message
  • Natural Talent
  • Continuity
  • Constitution
  • Stretch
  • Intensify

This an all-rounder build, which will focus on Duration, Range and Strength since you want to use the Reservoir and retain the Motes as long as possible, while also hitting hard. Energy Siphon as Aura Mod will help to regain energy, and Natural Talent will help you cast faster and not stay too open to attacks while doing it. For dramatically better results, always replace the mods in the setup with their Prime or Umbral versions.
