Warframe Orthos Guide - How to Obtain, Craft, and Best Builds

The Orthos is a double-bladed staff with great striking distance, giving it the ability to hit multiple targets. Boasting a good Status Chance at the expense of Critical Chance and Critical Multiplier, this polearm is one of the best melee weapons against large groups of enemies.

Forma Required: 2
Mod List
Stance Mod - Shimmering Blight or Bleeding Willow (depending on which version)
Loadout

  • Condition Overload
  • Virulent Scourge
  • Volcanic Edge
  • Vicious Frost
  • Berserker Fury
  • Weeping Wounds
  • Body Count
  • Blood Rush

This build aims not much for raw damage but more to improve the already great status damage. The mix of three elements + Condition Overload will compensate for the lack of raw damage numbers, which only becomes better with the use of Blood Rush and Body Count + Berserker Fury.

With a longer combo duration, you should be able to chain enough kills to squeeze the juice out of this polearm. Keep in mind, it won’t shine as much if there are not enough enemies to keep the combo going, so you will use this build more in later stages of the game.

Note: To be fair with both new and veteran players, we will make builds that display the standard version of the mods involved. However, it is always advised to use the best version you can get, such as Primed, Umbral, or Riven mods.
