Is Horizon Worlds Coming To PS5?

In short, we don't know. Beyond Meta's original announcement that the game is free to play and available for users aged over 18 in the US and Canada who own an Oculus Quest 2 headset, not much more information has been released.

It would make sense that the game won't be coming to PS5 as it is a Meta-developed game that suits their platforms and software/hardware ecosystem best, and therefore will solely be released on the Quest headsets.

Could Horizon Worlds Be On PSVR 2?

If it's a game based around the Meta ecosystem with their own Quest headsets then it's pretty unlikely that it'll be coming to PSVR 2, unfortunately.

If the game is successful on Meta's hardware though, then it could be possible for other platforms to be involved, including PSVR 2, especially as it looks to be quite a powerful headset and should be able to cope with high levels of user-created world detail.

The game is available to play if you own an original Oculus Quest headset, but only for a short period of time.

Support for Horizon Worlds will be ending on the original Quest in January, so you've only really got a month or so of playtime before you'll have to switch over to the new headset.

Having a game like Horizon Worlds available for the Quest 2 means it joins the likes of Among Us VR, Cities VR and GTA San Andreas VR as one of its most exciting new and upcoming titles. These four titles will arguably be the jewels in the crown of Quest 2's large games library.

We'll be back with you soon with more VR news, guides and info, so be sure to check back in with us soon, and don't forget that the Meta Quest 3 could be on its way if you're looking to try out the next generation of VR when the headset's release date does come around.
