Synth Riders Launches For PlayStation VR On August 10

Update - July 30, 2021

After a previous delay was announced last week that pushed it back by "several weeks", Kluge Interactive has just confirmed Synth Riders will officially launch for PSVR on August 10th, 2021. They've launched a PSVR countdown timer, which you can find here.

Original - June 29, 2021

Virtual reality is a natural home for rhythm games. Between runaway hits like Beat Saber and Pistol Whip, another frequent contender for the rhythm crown is Synth Riders. Having launched on PC in 2018 and Oculus Quest the following year, it's now making the jump to PlayStation VR on July 27, 2021.

Announcing this news through PlayStation Blog, Kluge Interactive's marketing director, Pawel Gajda, confirmed the game's entire existing library and paid DLC packs would be immediately available for PSVR at launch. While we don't have a price just yet, he advised:

We are happy to bring the entire Synth Riders music library to PS VR, including 55 free, licensed songs and over 20 tracks available as purchasable music packs featuring Muse, The Offspring, Parov Stelar, and more.

Synth Riders Launches For PlayStation VR On July 27

To celebrate this PSVR release, Kluge Interactive is also running a competition. You can sign up here - which provides a one-time only launch reminder - and that'll place entrants into a separate draw, letting you win the “Complete Music Pack” DLC bundle on release.

Elsewhere for Synth Riders, Kluge Interactive recently released an update on Oculus Quest 2, making it one of a growing list of games to now support 120 Hz gameplay. After three years, it's nice to see that Synth Riders isn't going anywhere just yet.
