Oculus Quest v33 Update Begins Rolling Out, Improving Air Link's Visual Quality


Facebook's begun rolling out Update v33 for Oculus Quest headsets. As is traditional for the company, not everyone will have received this just yet, so Quest/Quest 2 owners will need to check if they've received it. This time around, they've made improvements to Oculus Link and Air Link.

Previously, Link would compress the image quality to allow Quest headsets to display PC VR games, either through a USB-C cable or Air Link. Calling this a "Link Sharpening" feature, that's described as making "images crisper, fine details clearer, and text more clear and easy to read.”

Changes have also been made to the Guardian settings, letting you clear your history to help avoid any tracking issues. Facebook also states they've improved the Oculus Browser's security, while some multitasking features are being moved out of the Experimental stages to full release.

That's not all either. As spotted by Road To VR, references to an Oculus Pro headset has also been uncovered by Reddit user ‘Reggy04’ from v32's firmware, something Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has previously floated. You can check out more details here.
