Is Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown Coming to Xbox and PC?

After being absent from the fighting game scene for many years, Sega has decided to bring back Virtua Fighter 5 to the PS4, with improved graphics and online play, along with a new name; Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown.

The game was seemingly leaked some time ago so seeing Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown get an official reveal is quite nice and we’re sure many fighting game fans will pick this up come June 1.

Is Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown Coming to Xbox and PC?

Oddly enough, the game has only been announced for PS4, with many wondering if it will be coming to the Xbox One and PC sometime after.

Sadly, unless anything is changed, it looks like Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is going to stay a PS4 exclusive for the time being.

IGN stated that Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is a “PlayStation 4 console exclusive” so it looks like Sony may have helped with the publishing of this game.

Technically, Xbox One players do have Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown to play, though it is an Xbox 360 game that’s playable through backward compatibility.

It should be a fun time but Final Showdown is nowhere near as pretty as Ultimate Showdown and we’re sure the newer game will probably have better online play as well.

Due to all the hype of Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown being a PS4 exclusive, it’s doubtful that we’ll be seeing this game on Xbox One or Xbox Series X anytime soon.

Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown will be coming to the PS4 and PS5 next week, on June 1.
