Valorant: Everything You Need To Know about VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2


Valorant Champions Tour NA Stage 3 Challengers 1 concluded a few days ago, and four teams have qualified for the Challengers Playoffs. The top three teams from the Playoffs will go on to book a spot in Master 3 Berlin.

Sentinels, XSET, 100 Thieves and Team Envy have qualified from Challengers 1. Now, we look forward to VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2.

The Open Qualifier for Challengers 2 will be the last chance for NA teams to earn a spot in the Challengers Playoffs for VCT Stage 3.

Open Qualifier Schedule

The VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 Open Qualifier is scheduled between July 22nd to 25th, 2021.

Teams who did not make it for Valorant Challengers 1 Main event will have a chance during the Open Qualifiers.

Rules & Format

The Open Qualifiers for Challengers 2 will introduce the new Agent KAY/O. It will be interesting to see how teams change their compositions to counter KAY/O's suppression.

All teams will match up in a Single Elimination bracket. Matches will be played in a best of three format, and all five maps will be allowed in the open qualifier.

VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 Main Event

The Open Qualifier will be held between July 22nd to 25th, 2021. Following that, only four teams will progress to the Challengers 2 Main Event.

The bottom four teams from VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers 1 will complete the remaining slots for Challengers 2 Main Event.

The schedule is set for July 30th, as the first round of the Upper Quarterfinals will commence at 3 PM EST.

Qualified Teams

The qualifiers for VCT Stage 3 Challengers 2 North America concluded with four teams joining the bottom four teams from the previous Challengers. Kansas City Pioneers, Gen.G Esports, Version 1 and Rise previously qualified for Challengers 2 Main Event.

Now, TSM FTX, T1, Luminosity and FaZe Clan have successfully secured a place in the Main Event.

Keep An Eye On

Teams like Cloud 9 Blue, AndBox, NRG, Ghost Gaming, Built By Gamers, were looking to secure an early spot in the Main Event for Challengers 2. However, they will have to wait for the next tournament, as TSM FTX, FaZe Clan, T1 and Luminosity outshined everyone else in the qualifiers.

Twitch celebrity Shroud mentioned that he will take part in the Open Qualifiers with his old friends. The competition will be at an all-time high as every team would love to have a spot in the Challengers Playoffs.

Keep an eye on T1 as CS:GO NA Major champion Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham is looking to book an early spot to Berlin. Their coordination and communication was extraordinary in the qualifiers, and it's quite certain that T1 will put up a fight in the Challengers 2 Main Event.

Similarly, TSM FTX will be looking to make sure that they represent NA where it matters the most. Fans will be looking to the iconic duo of Matthew "Wardell" Wu and Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik to live up to their potential during the Main Event.
