Valorant: Riot Investigating Hit Box Issues And Movement Inaccuracies


Valorant developer Riot Games is looking into issues with hitboxes and movement, as pointed out by the community, it confirmed on a recent Ask Valorant thread.

It's not a new issue, with players reporting some hitbox issues during the game's closed beta, but it looks as though the devs are close to cracking it.

Valorant Hitboxes and Movement Issues Being Worked On

Riot has noted that they plan to address "reliability and consistency of combat", with a focus on hitbox clarity and movement "readability and predictability".

It's also looking to improve how players of varying pings interact within the same game.

“Over the past couple months, we noticed some less than inspiring trends on perceptions of shooting reliability (namely, declining positive sentiment around ‘My bullets reliably hit targets when I expect them to’), so that prompted us to dig deeper,” Riot wrote in the blog post.

“Players said (broadly) that shooting felt reliable and consistent the vast majority of the time," they added. "However, there was also clear room for improvement."

“They highlighted these opportunities for improving reliability in combat: increasing hitbox clarity, improving readability and predictability of states of movement inaccuracy, and minimizing the difference in gameplay feel across different ping conditions.”

It doesn't sound like the update will come soon, though.

“We’re now in the process of digging into each one of these, while also trying to build a more holistic picture of gameplay reliability,” the post reads.
