Astra Reveal Trailer - 27th February

Check out Valorant's brand new Agent 'Astra'.

"She’s already got it all planned out. Harness the cosmos and control the fight as Astra, the newest Agent in VALORANT."

Release Date

Act 2 Episode 2 will begin on March 2nd, as this is when the current Battle Pass expires.

Some content will not go live until the 3rd March, and Act 2 will apparently end on Tuesday, April 20 (according to ValorLeaks on Twitter)

Patch Notes

No official patch notes have arrived, but we're expecting the following to come in the next patch according to VALORANT devs.

AFKs (Target Patch: 2.04)

Over the past several months, we’ve focused much of our efforts on a problem we know is painful to you: AFKs. Even one AFK’d player can turn the tide of a game, and it’s discouraging to know that you’ll have to carry twice as hard for a chance to win. We’ve spent some time working on several features we’re confident will reduce AFKs (both in-game and pre-game) in VALORANT.

CHAT-BASED OFFENSES (Target Patch: 2.04)

We’ve been heads down for a while, and there’s a good reason for that. In addition to AFK’s, we’ve been hard at work improving your experience of communicating with other players in-game.

Say goodbye to “comms bans for all.” To date, we’ve released text moderation for over 11 languages, and we’ve revamped our penalty system for text-based offences. We’ve introduced more nuance to the system, and penalties escalate with both the frequency and severity of the offence.

Starting with Act 2, Your rank will no longer be lowered at the start of an Act.

If you were Immortal or Radiant, your points will be reduced by 90%. Current Radiant will be put back into Immortal, due to the new requirements for Radiant per region.

You can now queue with a wider group of ranks at lower ranks.

Quality Of Life

Improved Client framerate by 3% on average for medium to high spec machines in 10-player games, by optimizing inventory management.

Reyna Buff

Players have been really distraught with the recent Reyna nerfs and argue she's been made almost useless - it wouldn't be a surprise to see her nerfs reverted.

Astra New Agent Reveal Trailer

The Premium Battle Pass for Act 2 will cost 1,000 Valorant Points.

New Agent

Astra, previously known as Agent 15, will launch with a new Act - as it always does (this being Episode 2: Act 2).

Astra's Abilities

    • Place Stars in Astral Form (X)
    • ACTIVATE a Star to form a Gravity Well. Players in the area are pulled toward the centre before it explodes, making all players still trapped inside fragile.
    • Place Stars in Astral Form (X)
  • ACTIVATE a Star to detonate a Nova Pulse. The Nova Pulse charges briefly then strikes, concussing all players in its area.
    • Place Stars in Astral Form (X)
    • ACTIVATE a Star to transform it into a Nebula (smoke).
    • Use (F) on a Star to Dissipate it, returning the star to be placed in a new location after a delay.
    • Dissipate briefly forms a fake Nebula at the Star’s location before returning.
    • ACTIVATE to enter Astral Form where you can place Stars with PRIMARY FIRE. Stars can be reactivated later, transforming them into a Nova Pulse, Nebula, or Gravity Well.
    • When Cosmic Divide is charged, use SECONDARY FIRE in Astral Form to begin aiming it, then PRIMARY FIRE to select two locations. An infinite Cosmic Divide connects the two points you select. Cosmic Divide blocks bullets and heavily dampens audio.
