The Witcher 3 will get its PS5 and Xbox Series X/S enhancements later this year, developer CD Projekt RED has confirmed.

It's still hard to believe that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is almost 6 years old at this point, but this will be good news for anyone that hasn't jumped in yet, or for anyone itching for a replay.

The port is being developed by Saber Interactive, the developer behind the impressive Nintendo Switch port of the game.

Back in 2020, CDPR's VP of business development Michał Nowakowski explained what's new for the updated version on PC (thanks, VGC).

“There will be a patch adding visual quality and a few extra features and of course we’re not going to charge people for a patch – it’s something they’re going to download and it will upgrade their game; upgrade their experience – but we’re not going to ask them for extra money,” he said at the time.

“If you have your game on PC, you’ll just download an update – and the game will continue to cost what it currently does on the PC market. We consider it an upgrade of the currently existing game.”

Elsewhere for CDPR, the studio released the long-awaited 1.2 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 this week. It's a huge patch, aimed at fixing the much-maligned titles issues on console, as well as a few PC fixes, too. Check out the full patch notes here.

Cyberpunk 2077's DLC has also leaked via the Epic Games Store, and it appears there are 9 pieces on the way as well as an expansion pass. Find out more here.
