The Witcher 3 Gets Rated for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

You may recall that CD Projekt Red previously announced new-gen versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Initially slated to arrive before the end of 2021, it seems like the Polish publisher is sticking to that promise.

This remastered edition has been spotted (via Gematsu) on Europe's classification board, PEGI, where both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions were rated. It looks like new-gen consoles will receive the Game Of The Year Edition, which includes two lengthy expansions: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

PEGI also lists "release dates" of 19/10/2021 for both versions, so the next-gen collections could arrive today. However, we haven't had confirmation from CD Projekt Red directly, so that could be incorrect.

Aside from Wild Hunt, The Witcher TV Show returns with Season 2 this holiday season. Netflix has already renewed it for Season 3, alongside announcing a spin-off show and additional anime film, following Nightmare of the Wolf.

Cyberpunk 2077 will receive next-gen upgrade and these were also due to arrive this year. However, rumours suggest these PS5 and Xbox Series editions are being delayed. Meanwhile, several DLCs are coming soon, with leaks hinting at free cosmetics and quests, joined by a paid expansion possibly on Blood and Wine's scale.
