The Witcher 3's New-Gen Version Still Targeting "Late 2021" Release, But Could Be Delayed

As transcribed by Video Games Chronicle, Nowakowski couldn't make guarantees that The Witcher 3 would make it out later this year either. Specifically, he confirmed:

With The Witcher 3, the situation is slightly different in the way that this is being tackled by the external team mainly, which is Saber Interactive, the company that we have worked with before on Switch and also with updates in the past. As with Cyberpunk 2077, our goal is to release that game still in late 2021. However, similarly, the development process is ongoing, and we cannot be absolutely dead certain that the release schedule will not change.

Elaborating further, Nowakowski advises that whilst late 2021 is the aim, he didn't want be "more specific at this moment in time." Initially launched in 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, The Witcher 3 still maintains a significant fanbase even now, having sold 30 million copies. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we get that confirmation.
