The Ascent is one of the more interesting-looking Xbox exclusives coming out soon, combining the setting of Cyberpunk 2077 and the action RPG gameplay of Diablo to make a unique action RPG.
We already know that The Ascent’s release date is next month, on July 29, but fans are curious about other aspects of the game, like if it will stay exclusive to the Xbox and if the game will support cross-play in any way.

Is The Ascent Cross-Play?
Neon Giant, the developer of The Ascent, confirmed that there would indeed be cross-play for the upcoming action RPG so you’ll be able to play co-op with your friends no matter the Xbox platform.
According to the developers, you will be able to have cross-pay in The Ascent with Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and the PC version from the Microsoft store.
If that wasn’t enough, Neon Giant also said that The Ascent would be an ‘Xbox Play Anywhere' game so, theoretically, you could play this on your phone through the Xbox Cloud.
Considering how Microsoft has a pretty good track record with multiplayer online games, we’re sure The Ascent will have great cross-play since it’s only with a couple of Microsoft systems.
Sure, there are some fans who will complain about The Ascent not coming to other platforms and will call this kind of cross-play ‘fake’ but those will just be a few entitled gamers and not the actual Xbox fans who will enjoy this game.
The Ascent will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on July 29.
