Nubia Red Magic 6s Vs Nubia Red Magic 7: How Do They Compare?


Nubia's latest flagship phone, the Red Magic 7, is heading our way soon, but how does it compare to the current 6s model?

While the difference between the 6s and 6s Pro models is minimal, it looks like there are some much larger changes coming with the new Red Magic 7.

But, what exactly is different about Nubia's latest Red Magic phone? We've highlighted the key differences right here.

When it comes to the design, the Nubia Red Magic 6s features a curved back with a fairly chunky build and RGB lighting.

Certain versions of the 6s model also feature a transparent back, allowing you to see some of the internals including the RGB fan.

The Nubia Red magic 7, however, boasts a new look that takes their transparent design even further.

The latest model encircles the entire backplate with transparent glass, allowing you to see even more of the internals, giving it a very futuristic look.

Of course, as with many of the best gaming phones, the specs are often the aspect that we're most interested in.

First off, the Nubia Red Magic 6s features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset and up to a staggering 16GB of RAM, which should be an excellent amount of power for mobile gaming.

The new Red Magic 7 on the other hand boasts the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset which can be found in the latest Samsung Galaxy S22 model.

For the GPU, the Red Magic 6s features the Adreno 660 whereas the Red Magic 7 includes the more recent Adreno 730.

Both should be excellent at providing the gameplay experience you're looking for, and capable of running most of the best mobile games to date.

The Nubia Red Magic 6s features two shoulder triggers with a 450hz sampling rate and 8.3ms response time.

The new Red Magic 7 model, however, improves upon this with a 500Hz sampling rate and 8ms response time.

The 6s also features up to 256GB of storage, with a 128GB version available, which should be plenty of storage to store all of your games and files.

For memory and capacity, the Red Magic 7 includes up to a huge 18GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, with 128GB and 256GB versions also available.

With that amount of power, both the Red Magic 6s and 7 are likely to be some of the best phones for COD mobile.

The battery is also different for each of the models.

Surprisingly, the older Red Magic 6s actually offers a larger 5,050mAh power bank, whereas the new Red Magic 7 includes a 4,500mAh battery.

However, the 6s model offers 30W charging, whereas, the new Red Magic 7 includes 65W fast charging which may make up for the slightly smaller battery.

When it comes to the screen, both models feature virtually the same display specifications.

Both phones feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with an ultra-fast 165Hz refresh rate, 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and 700 nits of brightness.

The 165Hz refresh rate alongside the 720Hz touch sampling rate of these phones should make them fantastic for giving you the edge in competitive gaming.

They're also both equipped with Gorilla Glass which should help increase the screen's durability.

You're also getting the same cameras on each model with 64MP wide, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro main lenses.

The rear camera lenses also allow you to film in up to 8K at 30fps, 4K at up to 60fps and 1080p in up to 240fps.

Each of the models also features an 8MP wide front-facing camera, which should allow for high-quality selfies and video calls.

The new Nubia Red Magic 7 is set to feature a starting price of £529 / $629 which is only very slightly more expensive than the 6s model which starts at roughly £490 / $590.

Both models offer excellent bang for your buck if you ask us, featuring brilliant specs for the price.
